Born and raised in the vibrant coastal city of Norfolk, Virginia. She is a dedicated individual driven by a passion for healthcare and community service. Her journey began with a solid foundation in the medical field, graduating from Medical Training of Virginia, LLC with a Valedictorian diploma and subsequently earning certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. This career path allowed Jamecia Smith to directly impact the well-being of others, providing essential support band care. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to further contribute to the healthcare landscape, Jamecia is currently pursing studies at Norfolk State University in Healthcare Management with a graduation date of December 2025. Jamecia Smith proudly served six years in the Army National guard from 2008 to 2014 as a Chemical specialist, instilling discipline, leadership, and a profound sense of responsibility. Furthermore, she is the founder of two non-profit organizations called Mirlesha Helping hands and Mirlesha NICU moms. These two organizations provide supplies for the homeless and support NICU moms with equipment and supplies to help take care of the premature newborns while getting the care they need residing in the NICU. Family is paramount in Jamecia’s life. As a single parent to 3 beautiful children, she strives to be a positive role model, instilling in them the values of hard work, empathy, and the importance of giving back. Having weathered the challenges of divorce, Jamecia stands as a beacon of hope and determination for her children. Her experiences both personal and professional have shaped her into a resilient, compassionate, and driven individual eager to make a meaningful difference in the world.
